Passion Counselling’s approach

As a registered counsellor I provide passionate, considerate and quality mental health care to a range of different clients. By actively listening and learning to understand the client’s challenges, we work collaboratively together, using evidence-based therapies based on the client’s own unique needs, to help them develop new skills and coping strategies. If you are ready to take that step, either in my counselling room or via online-video or telephone sessions, take a look at the rest of my website and feel free to book in for a 15 minute free zoom appointment to meet me to ask any questions about counselling.

About Nerolie Ross, MACA

Looking for the right therapist is really important and someone who you really feel comfortable in opening up to is just as important (if not more so) than the qualification’s your counsellor has. If you feel they understand your challenges and have the empathy, this provides a strong basis for developing a trusted relationship.

Before moving into counselling, I worked for many years in human resources and recruitment for a variety of different industry sectors after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History and undertaking a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources. Whilst living overseas, retaining my current skills, I completed a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and finally my Masters of Counselling. Undertaking EAP counselling, informal counselling in an HR capacity and mentoring for high schools has provided me with a depth of different experiences to draw from.

Given the mental-health challenges in our communities, I think the opportunity in many cases (not all) to reduce the severity and frequency of certain issues such as stress, anxiety and depression, if not tackled front-on, can escalate into more serious disorders. If you’re nervous, I offer a free 15 minute zoom session so you can meet me online and ask any counselling related questions.

I look forward to hearing from you.
