Free 15 minute Zoom Intro session
This is a quick, meet and greet session to determine whether I will be the right counsellor for you and, that I can support you to work through your challenges. It is so important that the therapeutic relationship is a trusted one and this session allows you to tell me in quick summary what you are struggling with, what you need help with and what questions you might have about counselling.

Face to face counselling
In-person, this is designated for adolescents, young adults or adults to process and explore your thoughts, emotions and feelings. Face to face allows for greater flexibility with treatment approaches such as relaxation techniques, meditation, imagery, art therapies. Typically, sessions may occur fortnightly or monthly, however for clients experiencing increased symptoms, you may want weekly sessions.

Video-session (tele-health) counselling
Online counselling is very similar to face to face counselling, allowing the client to undertake the session where they feel most at ease, particularly if transport is limited. You may think that a connection with your counsellor is harder to establish in this medium, but you might be surprised how easily and affective speaking with your counsellor can be online!

Phone counselling
Phone counselling is handy when there isn’t the opportunity for face to face or tele-health counselling. Perhaps the client is nervous about seeing someone face to face or their technology access doesn’t allow for it.

Online Text counselling
Text counselling is the newest form of counselling and can be done via Messenger, WhatsApp and Mobile Text amongst the most common. It is less personal, but can be handy when there isn’t the opportunity for face to face, tele-health, or phone counselling. Some clients are initially nervous about seeing someone face to face or their technology access doesn’t allow for it, or sometimes there is a safety issue and verbalising their issues in a safe space isn’t possible. This counselling form requires payment prior to ensure there are clear parameters as the counsellor will be available for the full 50 minutes even if the client chooses not to utilise the entire time period.

Couples Counselling
Couples counselling encourages each person within the relationship to re-build honesty, trust, respect and understanding in the face of challenging circumstances. Learning how to provide and recognise supportive empathy and compassion through understanding emotions is key. Discovering increased insight as individuals and within the relationship can help to re-ignite the chemistry that was once there. Sometimes it is also recognising the relationship is reaching an end, but can be done so in a respectful manner. Ideally couples counselling is best achieved in a face to face environment, however given our current world challenges, online couples counselling can still achieve positive outcomes. Typically, sessions may occur fortnightly or monthly, however for couples experiencing increased challenges, you may want weekly sessions.
